Suggest Medicines Other Than Amphetamines For ADHD

Question: I've been dignosed with ADHD, was on adderal for some time. I'm now in XXXXXX's pain Mangement rehab program which has drug testing. I love PMRP! Is there another drug that is not anphimine (speed) that might help me focus?

Amphetamines are stimulant medicines that are mainstay of treatment of ADHD. In standard drug screening procedures they can be detected. Some non amphetamine drugs like Modafinil can prove useful for your situation. Modafinil is a non stimulant drug that have actions almost similar to stimulants. The drug will help in improving day time alertness, focus, concentration and will also help in building motivation. Recently its improved molecule Armodafinil has been found to be useful in ADHD. Both are free of abuse potential. These drugs don't show positive results in screening tests. These both drugs are prescription medicines and you need to take prescription from a psychiatrist.
