Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. I understand how body odour can be both embarrassing and frustrating, but it is important to understand the causes and then aim for natural remedies. Some of the most common causes include:
-Poor hygiene (which is ruled out in your friends case)
-Hormonal fluctuations (more common in women due to their menstrual cycle)
-Stress (mainly emotional stress or trauma)
-Excessive physical endurance
and a few others.

In all the above mentioned cases, the fluid secreted by the eccrine or apocrine glands gets evaporated and leaves behind salt, etc. These remnants are influenced by bacteria and result in body odour.

Let me now list a few of the most effective natural remedies and suggestions to help battle body odour:
-Make sure the individual is always clean. Takes a shower regularly, uses a good soap, etc. Stagnation of bacteria is the main cause for body odour
-Make sure clothes are washed well and regularly, and not repeated. Stagnation of sweat and bacteria in clothes can easily result in body odour. Do not repeat clothes
-Avoid strong emotions like anger, anxiety, excitement, stress which cane easily stimulate the eccrine and apocrine glands to secrete sweat
-Avoid food that can stimulate sweat production like spicy food, peppers, jalapenos, etc.
-Avoid food items that can make your sweat smell like garlic, onions, etc.
-Use anti-perspirants containing aluminium
-Use over-the-counter hand sanitizers in your underarms when at home
-Use antibacterial soaps containing chlorhexidine
-At home, you can use apple cider vinegar in your underarms and then dry them and leave
-If in the outside, you can use mud in the underarms and allow it to dry
-Lemon juice with a little water can also be applied in the underarms at least 3 times a day, to be left for at least 30 minutes
-Make sure you dry off after a shower immediately. This is important because, this is the most moist your body can get. Use a good clean towel to do this
-You can use an oil blotting paper to wipe your underarms when in public, and have the fear of sweating or smelling
-Avoid smoking, alcohol, and other toxicants. Your body can try to expel toxins through sweat and so avoiding these is important
-You can also use 3% of hydrogen peroxide added to 250 ml of water and applied to the underarms

I hope you find my response both helpful and informative. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help you.

Best wishes.
