Do Lamictal Or Doxycycline Cause Bad Body Odor?
I am currently taking 200mg Lamictal BID, 10mg ritilan BID, and 25 mg paxil BID. I am nearing the end of treatment with doxycycline for an ear infection with ruptured ear drum. The past few days when I have been working out extremely hard, my sweat smells very bad! It does not smell like regular body odor. Is one of my medications to blame or is it an interaction b/w some of them? I have always sweated more than my peers, which is embarrassing b/c I am a woman. But I just don t understand this smell! Any ideas?

Ritalin and Paxil can cause bad body odor. While having a bad body odor is not of any danger to you, but if it bothers you, inform your GP about it as he might recommend an alternative medicine. I would however recommend you to start focusing more on your personal hygiene before visiting GP. You should shower twice a day, shave your underarms regularly and start using a good deodorant or perfume. You should stay hydrated as well.
