Suggest Natural Ways To Break Up Kidney Stone
drink plenty of fluids.
Detailed Answer:
Good day and thank you for being with healthcare Magic!
Kidney stones Per se doesn't cause any pain unless it is causing obstruction and is caused because of the swelling of the kidney and causing distention of the capsule of the kidney thereby causing pain in the flank area.
Pain in the ureter is a different story. Once the kidney stones spontaneously fall into the ureter, this would cause a severe pain and the location of the pain would depend entirely on where the stone is in the ureter. Lower ureteral calculi can radiate to the right lower quadrant pain and also in the scrotum/labia. This is also associated with voiding complaints like urinary urgency and strangury.
Renal and ureteral colic causes severe pain and is generally described as worst pain that one can feel or a pain worse than giving birth.
The Ct scan done would tell us the size and location of the stone. It would also give us a clue on your stone composition if it is Uric acid stone or calcium stone. For uric acid stones - you should follow a low purine diet while for calcium stones - you should follow a low oxalate diet.
Due to the low severity of your pain, it might not be due to your kidney stone and could just be a non specific colic (abdominal pain).
For kidney stones prevention and treatment, drink plenty of fluids (2-3 liters/24 hours).
