Ct Of Abdomen Done. What Does Findings Suggest?

had test results come back and have no clue what they mean ..can you help me understand?
Need it in simple to understand language. I don't understand all the medical jargon and just want the truth no matter if bad or good.
CT ABDOMEN/PELVIS WITH CONTRAST July 25, 2013 12:11 PM

HISTORY: Abdominal pain, worse on the right. Hepatic cyst on
ultrasound.

TECHNIQUE: Scans obtained from the diaphragm through the pelvis with
oral and IV contrast, 100 mL of Isovue-370.

COMPARISON: Limited abdominal ultrasound dated 6/11/2013.

FINDINGS: Visualized portions of the lung bases are grossly clear.
There are no aggressive osseous lesions. Visualized mediastinal
contents are unremarkable.

A cyst in the medial segment of the left lobe of liver measures up to
1.3 cm in maximum dimension corresponding with the cyst seen on the
ultrasound. The liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, right adrenal
gland, and left kidney otherwise enhance normally without focal
lesion. There is a left adrenal nodule measuring 2.0 x 1.8 x 1.7 cm
likely representing adrenal adenoma. This cannot be definitively
diagnosed on today's study. Followup MRI should be diagnostic. There
is a hypoattenuating lesion posterior cortex mid right kidney (image
36 series 3) measuring 1.5 cm in diameter likely representing a cyst.
The kidneys otherwise enhance normally without hydronephrosis,
nephrolithiasis, hydroureter, or ureteral calculus. Urinary bladder
is normal in appearance.

Uterus and ovaries are grossly normal in appearance.

The bowel is of normal caliber. No pericolonic inflammatory change to
suggest acute diverticulitis. Appendix is normal in appearance. No
abnormal thickening of the wall of the terminal ileum is seen.

There is mild nonaneurysmal atherosclerosis. No adenopathy, free
fluid, or free air is seen in the peritoneal cavity.

Impression
IMPRESSION:
1. Hepatic and right renal cysts.
2. Left adrenal nodule likely represents an adenoma, however, this
cannot be definitively diagnosed on today's study. MRI of the abdomen
with adrenal protocol (in-and-out of phase imaging) should be
diagnostic.
3. Nonaneurysmal atherosclerosis.
4. No other significant abnormalities are identified. Etiology for
patient's symptoms is not definitely seen.

Radiologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

I would like to highlight the significant points in your abdominal CT scan in simple language.

1. There is a simple cyst in left lobe of liver measuring 1.5 cm in diameter - nothing to worry.
2. A nodule in adrenal gland on left side measuring 2.0 x 1.8 x 1.7 cm - possibility of adrenal adenoma to be considered, pending further MRI evaluation.
3. There is a possible cyst in right kidney interpolar region measuring 1.5 cm in diameter - not to worry.
4. Age related changes seen in walls of arteries on abdomen.

hope this helps.
