Suggest Pain Relievers That Can Be Taken With Naproxen

default
Posted on Mon, 24 Oct 2016
Question: Hi There,

I have severe osteoarthritis in my lower lumbar from L4 L5 to S1 Joint. I am currently prescribed
Naproxen 500mg one tablet twice a day, however, this is not fully allieviating my pain. I take over the counter NSAIDs such as codeine to help, but this is not good long term. Please can you recommend another pain reliever that I can use either with my Naproxen, or if strong enough, can replace the Naproxen?
I have had two sets of facet joint anti-inflammatory injections, which initially helped greatly, but again I cannot do this long term. I have been referred for ablation injections .... I'm awaiting my appointment.
If these help - great! However, any pill form of pain relief I can use would be much appreciated.
Look forward to hearing from you! Best Wishes, XXXX - Thank You!

Brief Answer:
Tramadol

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Thanks for the query.

You can try Tramadol tablets(50 mg), you should get relief.

Got to need prescription for that though. Ultracet tablets will do. You can take twice a day after food. Avoid alcohol, antidepressants and antipsychotics. You can take it for 10 days.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer to answer your follow up queries.
