Suggest Remedy From Pain Due To Peroneal Tendonitis In Ankle

I have been suffering from Peroneal Tendonitis in my left ankle/heel for about 6 months now. I do not know how it occurred. I visited my family doctor who arranged for scans to be undertaken and after looking through the scan results suggested I use Ibuprofen and Ice packs on my ankle to alleviate the pain. This mostly works although, I find a combination of Codeine and Paracetamol gives me far better relief than Ibuprofen. My doctor said if things did not improve with my problem he would have to put it in a Moon Boot. How long would I be required to put up with this inconvenience/pain?

Hi,

You need to follow the above mentioned therapy with physical therapy and see the response over next 3 months. If symptoms do not resolves by then, you will need a repeat detailed personal clinical examination and scans to see if any procedure can help you.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
