Suggest Probiotics For Digestive Health

default
Posted on Wed, 16 Dec 2015
Question: I am reading a book about bacteria in the bowel and it's affect on our health. I was on penicillen for a long time when I was growing up. Also my tonsils were removed when I was 7 yrs old because I had pneumonia several times before that. I am taking a probiotic that I bought from the drugstore. What would you reccommend to get the right bacteria in my bowel?

Brief Answer:
probiotics will suffice

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
The good bacteria or normal flora present in our guts get regenerated with time once the suppresing factors like strong antibiotics are withdrawn.
Probiotics contain some strains of bacteria which are inculcated in gut when we consume it.
So as you are alredy taking probiotics you have already replenished the normal gut bacterias.
If your bowel movements are fine, there is no bloating of stomach or excessive foul smelling stools then i guess its all working fine and you need not worry about it.
I hope i have answered your query well. if you have any more query kindly write back to me will be happy to answer them.
Thank you

Brief Answer:
sporlac/ enterogermina / yogurt

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for following up.
There are many probiotics available in market. You can try sporlac XXXXXXX or enterogermina probiotics which are good in market.
But frankly speaking as i get from your query you are not suffering from any gastrointestinal problem as of now, i would like to advice you naturally available probiotics like curd and yogurt.
Yogurt contains Lactobacilli which is a very good probiotic for our GI system.
So above two as mentioned if you want to rely on medical probiotics or yogurt if you want naturally available probiotic. Both ways are good.
I hope i have answered your query well.
Any query you have do ask will be happy to answer them.
Thank you
