Suggest Protein Supplements To Gain Weight

Question: Hello,
My age is 30.But my weight is 53 kg. Everyone are telling I am under weight. Please advice me for weight gain what I need to do .Do I need to take any protein? Please advice me.

Please mention your height. That will help in calculating your BMI( body mass index), which will tell us if you are underweight/normal weight.

A healthy diet should contain well balanced meals including a good source of proteins. Include kabuli chana/ rajma/ sprouts like green gram in your daily diet. 2 eggs on alternate days or once in 2 days. Include curds, milk, nuts like almonds etc, dry fruits like dates and fig. plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Drink at least 10-12 glasses of water a day .

Regular exercise or visiting a gym with a personal trainer who will help in building muscle mass.

I would advise you to get some blood tests done to rule out any medical conditions with can cause weight loss, like thyroid disorders , diabetes etc. The following tests might be useful, CBC with ESR, TSH,fasting blood sugars, HbA1c, Vitamin D levels, Vitamin B12 levels.

Thin built can also be hereditary, if one or both parents are thin built.

If all the above tests are normal, you can take a protein supplement called ENSURE.
