Suggest Remdy For Pain In Calf After Taking Coumadin

Question: My wife had her left knee replaced on 3/9. She developed pneumonia on 4/8, which was treated with antibiotics. Two week ago today, she woke with a 102 fever, not making sense. I took her to ER, they did chest ct because oxygen levels were low. Diagnosis: pulmonary embolysm in each lung. They gave her injections in the stomach and admitted her for 2 days. I gave her the anti coagulant injections, plus coumadin. She is still on coumadin, but said she had a lot of pain and discomfort in the CALF LAST NIGHT. sHOULD I GO BACK TO er, or wait to call Surgeons off ice tomorrow?

- acetaminophen thrice a day
- take hot water in a rubber bottle and place it at the site if pain. It will give soothing effect.

If condition remains same within 6-12hrs or aggravates then you need to take her to hospital.
