Suggest Remedies For Accidental Ingestion Of Clonazepam By A Child

Question: A one yr old child may have ingested a clonazepam .5mg tab. We don't know. This was several hrs ago.

I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

Considering that the child may weight 9-12 kg, that is an overdose, but not a poisoning dose.
The action of the medicine would start 20-40 min and continue up to 6-8 hours.

If the baby had taken the medicine he would be very sleepy and his breathing very slow.
Give him plenty of water
Check his breathing once in a while and make sure it dose not stop. if the breathing slows down, then send him to the ER as soon as possible.

But, if have been several hours ago, I think the worse has passed so the child should be fine if he is fine by now.
