Management of acne

Welcome back.
I have reviewed all the attached photographs.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to start with capsule doxycycline 100 mg twice daily along with application of benzoyl peroxide 2.5 percent gel on the pimples over the face and head twice daily and benzoyl peroxide 10 percent gel on the pimples over the chest twice daily.
I would recommend you to use a salicylic acid facewash twice daily along with a ketoconazole shampoo for headwash twice weekly.
This treatment needs to be continued for a long time under the supervision of the doctor.
Besides this keep your face dry, avoid oiling of scalp, use cosmetics labeled as noncomedogenic, reduce the intake of sugary foods, and avoid wearing tight shirts.
Also what was the dose of isotretinoin you were given?
If the response is not very satisfactory with these medicines you can also go for salicylic acid peels. These will be effective in the treatment of acne, pigmentation and superficial scars.

Thank You for the response Madam,

I was taking 20mg isotretinoin capsules twice a day,It has been 2 months since i have left isotretinoin .
Currently i am taking Amoxicillin 500mg Capsule once a day.

Let me know if this info. changes something in your above recommendations.

Ok sure .

Summarizing the treatment plan :-

1) capsule doxycycline 100 mg twice a day .
2) Benzoyl peroxide 2.5 percent gel on the pimples over the face and head twice daily.
3) benzoyl peroxide 10 percent gel on the pimples over the chest twice daily.
4)ketoconazole shampoo for headwash twice weekly. ( Already Using).

Please let me know if i have missed something .

Use Saslic DS facewash twice daily and cetaphil moisturising lotion as a regular moisturiser.
