Suggest Remedies For Alcohol Withdrawal Symptoms

Question: My husband is currently undergoing what I believe is alcohol withdrawal. The problem is he stays off the whiskey for about 5 days, then falls to desire to drink. He has been drinking since 19 years of age, heavily over the last two years with whiskey daily. He is also suffering memory loss at 59 years of age. Sometimes, when I ask him directly if he drank, he says no. But I suspect their is liquor hidden in our home. My question is would he be a candidate for alcohol rehab? He says he needs help, but still likes drinking. Currently, he suffers from what he believes is drops in his blood pressure, dizziness and wanting to vomit. He is very "needy" with me in my presence. Literally clinging to me and telling me he's sorry. What do you recommend, if anything, I can do at this point.? Thank you for your advice.
