Suggest Remedies For Black Patches On The Cheeks

Kindly clarify whether it is Melanoma or Melasma by dermatologist
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for posting your query to the forum.
I can understand your concern for the black patches on your cheeks. After getting your history I can make out that your treating dermatologist must have given a diagnosis of Melasma. I don't think that it had been Melanoma. Even then for confirmation I humbly request you to kindly let me know whether it was Melasma or Melanoma as there is big difference between these two conditions.
It would be best if you can send a food resolution picture of the affected area. For that you have a feature on the right side of the page.
Hope to hear soon from your side.
With regards,

Melasma : guidance and suggestions
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mam,
Welcome back and thanks a lot for your swift follow up with clarification and the picture.
I can make out from the picture that the area is basically Melasma and not melanoma. Thanks a lot for your clarification also.
To tell you simply regarding your concern : our skin is a multilayered structure. The deeper of the skin contains a cell known as melanocyte. This is the cell which produces color in the skin and that's why we genetically have a tendency of our own skin color.
In certain instances these cells secrets more color at certain places. In females it is common on face due to hormonal influence. It is also aggravated by sun light and stress.
So to reduce its tendency I suggest my patients to reduce sun exposure as well as the stress part.
Your doctor has provided you a very good cream. You need to apply it for few months to reduce the appearance as well as the tendency of the same.
I also suggest you to take a nutritious diet with fruits and vegetables.
Kindly use a sunscreen on daily basis.
I hope this helps.

Also some friends have recommended homeopathy they say there's treatment with that. Your views?
Further suggestions for Melasma.
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mam,
Welcome back and thanks for your further follow up.
If you are not getting relief by the single application then you can apply the cream for two times. But do not apply when you move in sun. Another cream containing Arbutin with Licorice extract and curcumin extract could be used.
As I am an allopathic doctor so I am less aware of the results of homeopathy or any other alternative medicine except allopathic. You can take a personalised guidance from your treating doctor or a homeopathic doctor.
I hope this helps.

Further suggestions for Melasma.
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mam,
Welcome back and thanks for your further follow up.
In my patients I suggest them to apply KOJIVIT ULTRA (Micro labs) at night time. I suggest them to apply in the thinnest possible amount. I also suggest you to not to apply any steroid based cream as can cause damage to the skin.
A sunscreen is must to apply in day time. Eat best of nutritious diet.
My best wishes for your healthy and glowing skin.
