Brief Answer:
Proper rest and avoid weight bearing.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
Bruised muscle and bone can best be treated with rest and elevation. You may need mild pain killers also for proper relief. The bruise usually needs 3-4 weeks to heal. Avoid weight bearing on the foot and avoid all painful activities. You can use an elastic brace also for a proper support in the area.
I hope this answers your query.

Could soaking in water with Epsom Salts help speed up the healing? Or would some
Ice help? I live alone. I do not drive and walk to grocery store and Walgreens for my medications, which are due soon. These stores are not far away. Maybe a little than a city block for Walgreens. Half that distance for the grocery store. I need to feel better sooner than later if at all possible.

Brief Answer:
Ice will help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Soaking in water with Epsom Salts will decrease the swelling and pain. Application of ice will also help in reducing the internal bleeding. Do get an X-ray done to rule out any stress fracture.
Hope my answer is helpful.

No question just a statement. My foot feels SO Much BETtER! It was so nice to know that what I thought was the best treatment Really was. Now I know I can keep my appointment at the hospital for some CT scans and not have to worry about how I would get around on an injured foot. I appreciate your input so very much. Thank You!!!!!
