Suggest Remedies For Burning Sensation In The Urethra

Information
Detailed Answer:
Hello Drew,
Two weeks is a long time for your urethra to be irritated after a small amount of chemical irritation. Also, this the burning you are feeling before urination happens when your bladder is contracting (making you feel like you have to pee) rather than as urine is passing through the urethra, is that correct?
So it may be something going on with your bladder, such as a bladder infection. If you aren't having other symptoms (fever, kidney area pain), and if the pain isn't too severe, you can try increasing your water intake and take either cranberry powder capsules or drink cranberry juice a few times a day (by getting cranberry concentrate and reconstituting it with a little apple juice/water, you can avoid a lot of excess sugar from products like Ocean Spray Cranberry juice).
If this doesn't help, or if the pain is significant, then go in to see your doctor or to urgent care clinic, and get a urinalysis done. If there is an infection suggested by urinalysis, make sure they send the specimen for "culture and sensitivity testing.
If the problem is truly from the outer portion of the urethra, from the body wash, the doctor can give you medicine for that too, such as glycerine, or medicine to decrease inflammation.
I hope this information helps. Please let me know if you need further information.
