?First and Third degree Burn / Under Evaluation
Detailed Answer:
Brief Ans-?First and Third degree Burn / Under Evaluation
Hi Dear !! Thanks for your query to HCM.
Read and reviewed your query facts, but could not find the cause this burn and area of burn and site/ location of the burn.
It would be better if you update the picture of the burnt area.
Also explain how the burn occurred ? was it chemical / of flame/or hot water burn?
Dear, you lost almost 5 days, due to self medication with neosporin and alo vera gel.
It seems that the burn area was well without any pain a few hours ago. This got disturbed mostly from buttons area over it and has exposed the white leathery skin-indicating 3rd degree level deep burn.
Do's Suggested-
In the given scenario-where you are exposed to an emergency situation of the White based wound under the button area just few hours back.
And after this you got scared to see the white based wound around the neck and chest area, at the late hours of night without any ointment or medicine to apply, as your doctor objected to use of neosporin and alovera gel.
Temporary Remedies -till XXXXXXX morning-
Consult Surgeon or plastic Surgeon
Avoid Self Medication as was done for last 5 days.
The wound needs no dressing, being painless and of 3 rd degree burn, but could be covered with loose gauze with aniseptic cream.
In this I would suggest you to apply soothing ointment like neosporin/ or could use Savlon/ betadine cream, till tomorrow morning, to keep it aseptic and hydrated for better healing and reduction of the contracture from drying, which would cause more discomfort from crusting.
You may have to replan your journey -of 18 th instance.
Update the pictures of the neck and chest to reassess the degree and area of the burnt area.
Take Tab Motrin- 1 x 3 times a day
Avoid infection of the burn wounds soaked in ointments after dilute savlon lotion -cleaning of the skin around.
High protein diet and
plenty of fluids for faster healing
Tab Zincovit
Tab Voltaren- 1 x 2 times a day x 10 days-with script from your doctor.
Tab Chymoral fort-1 x 2-3 times a day for faster healing and for better antibiotic access to wound area.
Continue antibiotics for 1 week period.
You may need to care for 3-4 weeks/or more time, depending on area of burn and complications if they occur over the healing period.
Above are the general guidelines for the immediate treatment , followed by the short term care for 1- 2 weeks period, without more information from you,as asked above.
I would give more specific suggestions after assessing the pictures of the burnt wound and after getting more details of the progress, during last 5 days after the incidence of burning. Please update more information as asked above.
Await for more information soon.
Welcome for any further query or information in this regard.
Keep Me updated soon.
Good Day !!
