Suggest Remedies For Cold, Cough And Running Nose In A Child
Question: My daughter is just infected from cold.If will not take care her from cold,her cold converted in cough and fluid continue comeout from her nose.
one more point I want to add such conditions repeated when she infected. I checked her from fortis doctor. Dr. given medicine (2 month course of montair,levolin nebulization).

I have gone carefully through the details and understand your concern. Most often such symptoms are due to viral infections and antibiotics are ineffective in such cases. Some children are more prone to such infections. Give steam inhalation to your child. Water vapor will reach deep inside and would help in diluting the cough and thus would provide relief. Nebulization with normal saline works just the same. Giving levolin is only essential if there is wheezing or noisy respiration. You need to give paracetamol to bring down the temperature, if raised. If paracetamol is not effective in bringing down the temperature, you need to use Meftal-P (mefenamic acid) which is more effective. Also use tepid sponging. Giving some antiallergic like cetirizine or levocetirizine will take care of the runny nose. Monteleukast is better given on and off as required.
