Suggest Remedies For Cold Sores
Brief Answer:
transmission is possible
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
herpes virus may be transmitted to unaffected individuals particularly when there are visible lesions. Transmission is also possible when no lesions are present; this is called viral shedding.
Most people have come into contact with herpes (cold sores usually), so it's very likely that you have too. If you have had contact with herpes virus 1 (HSV 1) which usually causes cold sores, then getting it elsewhere is not very likely. Otherwise transmission is likely. Did you come into direct contact with herpes lesions?
