Detailed Answer:
hello and welcome to HCM.
I'm Dr Dinah and I'll be helping you with the skin complaints.
Firstly it would help if you provided me with some more details, such as your age, gender, how long you are having this problem and when did it start. Are you taking any other medicines/tablets. Do you have any other illnesses?
Have you taken any treatment before for this? Do you have any allergies?
Most important is to prevent sun exposure, as it will cause dark spots the more you are exposed to sun. Always use a good sunscreen with SPF 30 at least anytime you go outdoors in daytime. Reapply every 4-5 hours, or if you sweat.
To reduce the color, every night apply lightening cream only on the spots, like Melacare. Use for a month only and continue only after seeing a dermatologist. Do not use in the daytime.
Wash your face with glycolic acid facewash like AHA glow.
Supplements like Carofit Plus tab can be taken, one a day.
Other options can be tried depending on improvement, after consulting a dermaologist, like Lasers and chemical peels.
All treatments must be done regularly to see effects.
Keep in mind that they commonly appear during pregnancy and fade away after delivery. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, these creams should not be used.
Menopause is also another reason.
So do get back to me with all the details requested, so that I can guide you with the best course for you.
Do feel free to upload an image of the skin, if you wish.
Also do get back to me with any other doubts and clarifications you may have.
