Suggest Remedies For Diarrhea In An Infant
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Probiotics and zinc supplementation will help
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
Most common cause of loose motion in this age is some viral infection or allergy to any food item.
I would like to know if you have introduced any new food item or if there is any associated fever/vomiting.
No specific treatment is needed if no new food item has been introduced or there is no fever, vomiting or blood in stool.
I would suggest you to give him probiotic like enterogermina(to maintain normal gut flora)and zinc drops for early recovery.Continue feeding and give plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration.
Observe him carefully and if you notice that he starts vomiting, stool is mixed with blood, baby is getting lethargic or very irritable;please get him evaluated by a pediatrician.
I shall be glad to help you out if you have any more query.
Regards

4 days back we gave him Heritage brand milk .
He regularly drinks XXXXXXX brand milk. just for that 1 day we changed. and now he is drinking XXXXXXX only.
today morning he had little vomit, from whole night he just did loo 1 time.
last night we gave him Z and D drops. and we did not see any loose motions for whole night.
However no fever, or blood in stool. He is safe.
His pediatric advised for dumstall for vomiting and same Z and D drops with ORS.
