Suggest Remedies For Fungal Infection In The Groin
Question: hello Doctor,
I am allergic to sea food and probably foods like yeast. I normally develop fungal infection in the groin area, and probably due to the sea food which I ate recently I developed groin infection since now almost 3 weeks. I tried using clotrizamole and Calamine lotion. However the infection is still acute. it is spreading around the area.
is there any medicine I need to take orally? Request your advice.

Brief Answer:
You need to take some antiallergic like cetirizine
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
You could have allergy to seafood. This allergy could exacerbate a preexisting fungal infection. As such, clotrimazole is effective in fungal infections. But in the present situation you should take some antiallergic like cetirizine once daily. Montair LC (monteleukast + levocetirizine) is more effective but is a prescription medicine.
Let me know if I could help further.
