Suggest Remedies For Grey Hair On Face, Beard And Mustache
Suggestive of greying of hairs.
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX, Hi & Welcome
Thanks for posting your concern on Health care magic.
As per the history given you seem to be having greying (white color) of hairs.
The natural ageing process of greying of hair usually begins as in early thirties.
The causes for greying of air are hereditary, nutritional, smoking, stress, thyroid disorder, anemia, and certain chronic illnesses. Most of the times greying of hair is genetic. If its genetic with treatment response might be less effective.
So, can you please provide the following details like"
1. Has any body in your family like your father or uncle had the similar issue?
2. For how long you have been suffering from this issue?
3. Do you have chronic illness, thyroid problems, or nutritional deficiencies?
4. Do you smoke? or suffer from stress?
Awaiting your reply, so that I can analyse your condition properly and suggest some remedy for it.
Best regards.
Yes I do smoke. But since last one week have not smoked. Also was in stress, but now.
Not aware about nutritional deficiencies.
Since last 2 years hairs on scalp started white. On beard it's started couple of months back.
Please suggest to reverse these
Calcium pantothenate and PABA
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX, Hi
Thanks for your reply, noted its contents.
As suggested earlier the underlying cause if any should be detected and treated accordingly. In your case it seems to be hereditary (genetic).
I would suggest the following treatment for you:
1. PABATAB-BZ tablet (Calcium pantothenate & Para Aminobenzoic acid 100 mg)
3 times daily.
With Para aminobenzoic acid (PABA) temporary hair darkening has been reported after ingestion of 100 mg three times daily. Darkening is obvious within 2–4 months of starting treatment. Even if it does'nt reverse the already white hairs into black, it can definitely arrest further progress.
2. Topical 5% Melitane is also claimed to reverse and arrest further greying of hairs. It is available as a gel and needs to be applied once daily (2ml) at night at the roots. It can be use for both scalp as well as beard graying.
3. As an option to hair color you can try using a biocolor which is ammonia & Paraphenylenediamine (PPD) free. It is available with brand name Vegetal Biocolour.
I advice you to consult a dermatologist and discuss about the treatment options suggested and get them prescribed.
Besides medications you are advised to have certain lifestyle changes like
1. Avoid stress and smoking.
2. Have balanced diet and avoid harsh physical and chemical agents on the hair.
3. Increase the intake of fruits and vegetables
4. Prefer natural food to more refined or canned foods.
Hope the suggestions given above would be useful in getting the treatment from a dermatologist.
Best wishes.
