Hi,
Noted your specific history of a visible vein from temple area towards right eye with some pressure behind the same eye, not hypertensive, hemi-
thyroidectomy already done but thyroid function is normal.
The commonest cause of pain behind the right eye can be local like some
vascular malformation, or a
tumor causing raised blood supply.
Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation:
MRI of the eye and brain with
angiography to confirm or rule out any vessel related disease or disorder.
If found to be positive then the treatment accordingly.
Also to think about a condition called
vasculitis.
Take an opinion of an Ophthalmologist and ENT Surgeon.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT and General Surgeon
