Question: How to controls high levels of amylase and Lipase?
I have increased level of amylase in blood about 97.3 units and Lipase 84 units. pl.suggest how to controls the high levels of amylase and lipase

Hi
Serum Amylase and Lipase levels that you have mentioned are not much significant .
I have seen cases of Pancreatitis with Serum Amylase levels more than 2000 and Lipase more than 800.Most of them recovered well.
If you want to get the levels normal,you should stop all forms of Alcohol if you have the habit.
Ultrasound abdomen has to be taken to rule out Gallbladder stones which causes pain in the right upper quadrant and can lead to Pancreatitis.
The levels will gradually come down in course of time.Nothing to worry.

Thanks for immediate information.
I do not have the habit of taking alcohol. I do not have any Gallbladder stone problem. But, I was diagnosed of fatty liver some 2 years back.
May it be the reason for this uneasiness? Please clarify.

It could be due to Liver problem or Acid peptic disease.

Fatty liver doesn't cause much discomfort.Most of the times,it is an incidental finding in Ultrasound abdomen.
Please get a latest Ultrasound abdomen.
If it is normal, then the discomfort could be due to acid peptic disease. I prescribe Rabeprazole 20mg tablet twice daily before food for 2 weeks to my patients with similar complaints.
Avoid spicy food,masala food.
Have small frequent feeds.
Nothing to worry.
