Brief Answer:
They are molluscum contagiosum

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for attaaching pictures.

I have reviewed the attached picture and I feel the lesions are due to viral infection which is contagious disease. It is called molluscum contagiosum due to its shape and infective nature.

They can be treated both with local application of medication as well as use of laser known as cryotherapy. You are requested to see a doctor in your area and keep yourself away from close contact with others as far as possible.

I hope this answers your question.
Thanks and regards

Brief Answer:
Please take a second opinion from other doctor in your city

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
Thanks for reverting back to me.

I am not convinced with use of steroid and will prefer to ask for second opinion before accepting this treatment. I understand we have limitation of not examining the patient in person but the molluscum contagiosum is most likely diagnosis.

I hope this helps you.
Thanks and regards

Many thanks for your reply, i did mention molluscum but the doctor i see said the rash in question was to dry and had a wart like feel to it? The rash is not weeping, or open? As you can see from the pictures. Thanks again

Brief Answer:
I too agree with atypical lesions

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
Thanks for reverting back to me.

I do agree with him that many of lesions do not contain central pit which is common with molluscum contagiosum. But the pearly while color and no pain to them is again indicative of molluscum contagiosum. The sheer number of lesions also point toward diagnosis of molluscum contagiosum.

The use of steroid although not common for molluscum contagiosum but I think he just used for symptomatic relief due to itching and dryness. Additionally there is possibility they may go off spontaneously so probably he wanted to not to start any other form of treatment.

I hope this helps you further.
Thanks and regards
