Question: Would you give this to a patient being treated by another Dr? my chief complaint was not being able to sleep.

I have migraines everyday. Migraine meds don"t work. Migraines and neck and shoulder pain. 2 concussions.
Read that Seroquel makers are involved in a lot of lawsuits over some new symptonsI I have. Will stop taking this med prescribed for nighttime use.

Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

You do in fact take many drugs acting on central nervous system, it is not only an issue of seroquel in isolation (to answer your question, it is used for sleep in small dosages) it is the whole bunch together at the same time which may add to each others side effect.

I must say that I am not that much convinced from the medication you take, at least not if the purpose of prescribing those drugs is managing true migraine. That is unless perhaps you refer by migraine to any headache. That is because none of those drugs are first line choices for migraine, be it preventive treatment or of the acute attack.

So I believe on the first visit with the new doctor the type of headache must be cleared out, migraine headache, tension type headache, cervicogenic headache, depression related etc.
Medication overuse headache is also possible, especially if you've been taking Norco regularly for a long time (at least 10 days a month for 3 months). It is a type of headache caused by overuse of analgesics and they should be interrupted.
So the aim of this first visit may be cutting a little on the drugs which may be doing more harm than helping.

I remain at your disposal for further questions.
