Suggest Remedies For Mosquito Bites
further clarification & management
Detailed Answer:
Dear
Thanks for contacting with your health concern and following are the possibilities based upon your case history:
1. Mosquitoes are more active in dusk and XXXXXXX (also the time when you are juicing) so ideally make a shift in your programme.
2. Since adults emit more carbon dioxide than children thus are targeted more by mosquitoes and new research suggest that people with blood group "O" emit certain chemicals more than other types thus are bitten more. (do let me know about your)
3. Regarding prevention against the same, remember the 3 'D's:
i. Drain: mosquitoes breed in stagnant water so make sure there is no clogged/standing water in your backyard/pey bowls
ii. Dress: wear light colour and loose fitting clothes (long sleeve shirt and long pants with hat and socks)
iii. Defend: instead of using/applying harmful chemicals, one can think of following:
. Use of natural scavangers of mosquitoes like building BAT houses, dragonflies and planting of marigold plants.
. Use of natural plants/products having anti itching/anti inflammatory, anti fungal and anti microbial properties like aloe vera, apple cider vinegar, XXXXXXX cinnamon, cucumbers, lavender/tea tree oil, lemon and lime are effective way.

Dear
Thanks for reverting back
1. Aloe vera : is a soothing, anti bacterial/anti inflammatory plant which helps ease itchiness/swelling caused due to mosquito bite or any skin irritation, you can either cut a stem of the plant and can apply juice on the bitten areas or simply buy an aloe vera gel and can apply multiple times.
PS. make sure to do a sensitivity test before applying the same all over the areas to make sure you are not allergic to the plant.
2. Mix 1 cup of water and 10 drops of lavender or tea tree oil in a spray bottle and spray on the bitten areas for relief [best suited for camping/hiking]
3. Cut open fresh lemon or lime and apply directly the juice on the affected area(s)
4. Mint flavored toothpaste contains menthol which can help relieve the itching sensation.
5. Other things which one can put in his/her cabinet are topical remedies like: Benadryl cream, vicks vaporub, calamine lotion
PS. If with natural and topical management the bitten area(s) shows no improvement [redness/swelling remains] think of infection and consult your Doctor immediately.
