Suggest Remedies For Muscle Or Joint Strain In The Hip
Question: Hi Doctor,
During a trek over 2 months ago, I strained my right hip joint. Now everytime I run for longer than 2km, the pain comes back. As I was training for a 5k marathon, the pain was a lot and I had to limp for a bit. It eventually subsides when I rest. Is this something I need to show to a doctor? How can this pain be cured permanently?

I have gone through your problem ,in my opinion you have soft tissue injury of hip joint,for proper extant of problem you need MRI of right hip.Till than take muscle relaxant tablets,multivitamins and do hot fomentation and take rest.

Thank you Doctor. Should I avoid running in this period? I run 2-3 times a week. I am not sure if this is aggravating the injury or if it is safe to run.
