Brief Answer:
Take other medications for neuropathic pain

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
This drug is not very good for neuropathic pain.
What is your actual diagnosis?
Is the pain in mouth inside the oral cavity or outside?
Any facial pain?
You can switch to some other drugs like pregabalin, gabapentin or amitryptiline for neuropathic pain.
For clonazepam you can continue 0.5 mg in night as it improves sleep and decreases anxiety. Tapering can be done in night doses but some aggravating may occur during initial 1-2 weeks of tapering.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

I use a compound with clonidine, lidocaine and amytripline when needed, have tried all above meds and nothing helps, my diagnoses neuropathic tooth pain, resides in my mouth around lower canine tooth, feels like a knife at times, from deep below had line. I do not have TN. This was from a dental injury, can you write me out a schedule. I was on .5 twice a day for 2 yrs. A month ago is when I cut those in half and took 3. 25 a day, for the past few weeks I cut the .5 in half and take one in morning, and one at night. I am a 57 yr old female. Only other med is for thyroid

Brief Answer:
Take treatment as advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
If neuropathic pain is after dental injury and related to nerve compression or irritation you can try carbamazepine or Topiramate.
clonazepam 0.25 twice daily should be continued for another 2 weeks and then tapered slowly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
