Brief Answer:
X ray chest should be done
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to this forum.
Can understand your concerns.
This appears to be a case of bronchitis.
In bronchitis, the symptoms like cough, wheezing may persist upto 1 week.
An X ray chest should be done to look for infective foci.
Continue same drugs for 3 more days. An examination to look for wheezing should be done, if wheezing is present then nebulisation should be given.
Review with X ray report.
I hope this will help you.
Wishing your child good health.
Take care.

i have heard that ascoril ls is heavy for infant.. maxtra is gd... is this true ? and my baby do khasi sometimes not everytime ..... can i give steam to my lo ?
Brief Answer:
Don't give steam inhalation
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome once again.
No it is not correct that ascoril ls is heavy for infants. Both maxtra and ascoril ls are given for cough. Both are good and used very frequently.
Steam inhalation is different than nebulisation. Steam inhalation is not recommended in small children. If there is ronchi then nebulisation will help and steam inhalation will worsen it. Don't give steam inhalation.
If cough is very mild then you can wait for X ray for 1 day. But if cough is ppersisting then x ray should be done.
I hope this will help you.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
400 to 450 ml in whole day
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Weight of the child is 3.6 kg, so the baby should drink around 400 ml to 450 ml of milk.
Divide this amount with the number of feeds you give. If child still feel hungry than you can feed more.
Take care.

how much time it will take to heal from bronchitis ? because my baby dont take feed properly even not increasing her feed.. very much worried about her weight gain .. n plz tell me which medicine should be continue and for how many more days ?
Brief Answer:
3 more days
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It usually takes 7 days for bronchitis to get cured but sometimes may take upto 10 days.
Medicines that you were giving like ascoril ls, wikoryl and podocip should be continued for 3 more days. If no improvement then X ray chest should be done and an examination by Pediatrician is also mandatory.
Premature babies weight gain is slow as compared to full term babies. You should give vitamin d drops and multivitamin drops to the child till 1 year of age. Give exclusive breastfeeding till6 months of age.
I hope this will help you.
Take care.
