Hello. XXXXXXX Thank you for writing to us
I am dr.kakkar (dermatologist).
I have gone through your query and i have noted your concern.
I ll answer your last question first. Yes, you can have eggs, fish, nuts, meat etc. These are all protein rich food items and good for both of you and as such psoriasis requires no dietary restrictions.
Breast feeding is absolutely safe for the baby. Psoriasis has a genetic basis but only a small percentage of patients have a family history of psoriasis. So you should not get overly concerned.
Your dandruff could be a manifestation of psoriasis and you may use a mediicated shampoo for it, however it is quite common for lactating mothers to experience increased hair shedding after 1-3 months of delivery. This increased hair shedding can continue for 3-6 months. For dandruff you may use a medicated shampoo e.g protar lotion and use Ultitar CS lotion for overnight scalp application.
As far as rashes are concerned I request you to upload a few images in "Reports Section" so that I am able to guide you better. It is unlikely that the rashes are due to formula feed. Moreover since both of you have itching and rashes I would like to rule out scabies.
Regards

Regarding the rashes on skin
Detailed Answer:
Thank you.
I have viewed the images. I can see a few red, raised lesions.
Based on the history and the attached images I would keep a possibility of either scabies (family history of itching in other members) Or papular urticaria due to insect bite hypersensitivity.
I would suggest a single whole body overnight (at least 8 hrs) application of 5% permethrin cream e.g permite cream (for baby and yourselves) followed by bath next morning.
From next day onwards you may use a topical antiinflammatory cream e.g momate-F cream, twice daily, specifically over the lesions.
You may also take a tablet of cetrizine 10mg once daily in evening for symptomatic relief from itching and give syp phenergan 1.5 ml, twice daily to the baby.
Regards
