Brief Answer:
Depends on duration of time passed for this issue!!!

Detailed Answer:
I warmly Welcome you!

I am thankful to you for your trust in HCM. I have carefully worked through your case and can well realize your health worries.

You are having this discomfort due to Constipation. If you need to go to the ER or not, all depends on duration of time passed for this issue. If this is acute issue (evolved just in no time recently) then yes, you need t go to ER and get tested for the reasons of constipation. In this case they need to go for Gastrointestinal tract Endoscopic evaluation to find out the cause for constipation, obstruction and Indigestion.

If this is a chronic issue (long term problem) then not an urgent t medical care is needed in this case. But regular follow-up and proper medical care is needed for sure.

In both cases we need to relieve the constipation. But first of all we have to see if there is an obstruction to the intestinal tract. Reasons may be a benign or cancerous lesion that causes Obstruction. Other causes are slow motility of the intestines, Strictures in the digestive tract.

Once we rule out there is no obvious obstructiin to the flow of digestive tact we may use Glycerine Suppositories to relieve constipation. Oral Rehydration solution is mandatory to keep fluid and electrolytes in balance. SYRUP LACTULOSE 4TSF at night relieves constipation. CITRUCEL DIETARY FIBER SUPPLEMENT with plenty of water is needed. Keep a balanced healthy diet and remain physically active to keep intestinal motility in normal limits.

We need to rule out Diabetes mellitus as long standing diabetes also causes GASTROPARESIS that is nerve damaging disease that causes stomach motility to get slowed and Indigestion, bloating and gas are the resultant symptoms.

You need to consult a Gastroentrologist for proper evaluation of the issues. He will need to go for thorough diagnostics including Endoscopy and some blood work.

Hope it helps. Feel free to contact me anytime for further queries if any.

Regards!
