Suggest Remedies For Severe Pressure In The Abdomen

Question: I am experiencing pressure on my lower left abdomen for the last 10 days; feels like a weigh on my lower stomach (left side). Affected area is not tender or sensitive to touch. Affected area is not sensitive to touch or tender. No digestive problems; no loss of appetite; no nausea or vomiting; no constipation. I had double hernia laproscopic surgery last February -- had no post op complications.Have a scheduled appointment with Primary physician on 1/9.

You should get an Ultrasound abdomen.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Discomfort in the left side of the abdomen in the lower aspect could be due to Left sided Ureteric stone.Ultrasound abdomen will give a clue.

If ultrasound abdomen is normal, then it can be due to Mesh placed during Laparoscopic hernia repair.
I prescribe anti spasmodic tablet containing Dicyclomine twice daily after food to my patients with similar complaints.

Nothing to worry. It will come down.
Please consult your doctor, get examined clinically and proceed accordingly.
