Question: I have an infected tooth(upper molar). When I flew to XXXXXXX on Wednesday, I had been on amoxicillian for 2 days(500 x3) per day. The pain I experienced was like nothing I have every had, sore tooth, ear and HEADACHE. My dentist prescribed Clindamycin (300 x 4) per day, for me today. I fly home on Monday( 5hour flight) IF I experience this same pain-is there anything I can take or do-to alleviate it??

Brief Answer:
Addition of few more pills in suggested dosage & hot saline gargles.

Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxx,
Thanks for your query under Health care magic platform. I have read it & understand your concern.
For you tooth problem I would suggest-
-Continue with Clindamycin 6 hourly ( 4 times a day)
- Add the anti inflammatory pain medicine Advil extra strength ( as you had already taken it, & it suits you ) in the advised dose after food.
-Add Tablet of Proteolytic enzymes to resolve inflammation & pain earlier ( like tab. Chymoral over the counter ) three times a day...before eating
- Tab. Metrogyl 200mg twice a day after food.
* Hot saline gargles would help in alleviation of pain BUT no hot fomentation from out side face please.
* Regular medication would control your pain/ inflammation & you would have a cool journey.
Consult your dentist earliest for further management of the problem.
I hope that answers your query. Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks.
