Suggest Remedies For Tingling Sensation In The Left Arm
Question: Two nights ago, right after dinner, I got a tingling sensation down the inside of my left arm, ran down into my thumb, index and middle fingers. It was relatively strong tingle. Shortly after that started I had a similar sensation in my right arm, same place as the left, but much milder. I noticed my thumb and two fingers mentioned above where white--very white (I am causasian). Like white I have seen on dead bodies (retired paramedic). The color returned and tingling stopped after maybe 10 minutes. For about an hour prior to this event I had been cold--not shiveringly cold, but need-a-flannel-shirt cold. The house was normal temp. The next day I noticed a bleeding capillary in my left eye. Saw my eye doc and he said it had stopped and the red splotch would disappear. I know that can happen from a sneeze and it isn't necessarily a sign of a problem, but I have never had that happen before. So, what's going on here?
Brief Answer:
Probably temporary impaired blood supply.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
It was probably a temporary impaired blood flow of your arms and hands that caused your symptoms.
Exposure to cold can cause spasms of arteries resulting this way in impaired blood supply and since arms are more exposed than other body parts, these are more prone to temperature changes.
A bleeding capillary in eye is more likely to be related to sudden increase in blood pressure.
