Question: I have an uncontrollable cough. Sometimes I think I am going to die due to lack of air ...I a wheezing too.

You need to go to ER now, or go to the doc if you can get an appointment.

Yes, take a chest X ray immediately to see what is wrong to know severity of respiratory infection

If cough is with sputum, sputum testing is advised

You will be given antibiotics based on sputum culture report

You may require nebulization if breathing trouble is too much
