Suggest Remedies For Withdrawal Symptoms Of Duloxetine
Question: I have been taking Duloxetine /Cymbalta 30mg since last Friday. So today I took my 4th pill. Incidently i had asked a question online from a Neurologist who said my dose should have started at 20mg, and not 30mg, and at night, and not in the morning. This is for depression as well as some help to Fibromyalgia. I would like to beat this but without Cymbalta from what i have had horrible side effects from. Too many to list here but this feels extremely hard on my system. Been quite scared from this experience if i am honest. Just going through a transitional period in my life and think that i still have a chance to do this in another way. I have also read that getting off it is also a nightmare. Not made very easy. My question. Because i have been on it now for such a short time, would it be ok for me to stop cold turkey? What can I expect? I just want to make sure I don't end up in the ER? I have had to use some Oxazepam alongside this as it has been so intense. So a bit of a secuirty blanket if you will to help aid in the panic attacks and anxiety I have been having these last few days. Appreciate your advise. As i am currently now in Germany, and do no speak German, and so on its been a bit tough, and i do not have a doctor who really knows me. Only someone i saw once last week. So really just want the advice from an expert. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
It is ok to have cold turkey
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I read your query and understand your concerns.
The discontinuation syndrome with Duloxetine is generally very mild after the short use of few months and equal to nil if continued within a period of four weeks. Since your use is just for lat three days there is no chance of withdrawal symptoms and it can stopped cold turkey.
I must assure you that you will not land in ER just for discontinuation of Duloxetine after use of three days and if you decide to do so do it without delay.
I hope this answers your question.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.
