Suggest Remedy For A Dent On Forehead After Injury
It may need some more months to go away.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome to HealthcareMagic!
I read carefully your query and understand your concerns.
Sometimes dents can form in the forehead after an injury. This can happen for 2 reasons:
1)The first is that the subcutaneous tissue in the injured area due to the direct trauma is damaged and might develop necrosis.Doe to this ,the normal subcutaneous tissue is replaced by fibrosis leading to the formation of a dent.
This might take some months to years to go away or to be less noticeable.
2)The other option is that you might have damaged the bones of your skull during the trauma causing this dent in your forehead.
Since you haven't had serious symptoms from this injury (severe headaches ,nausea and vomiting, unconscientious episodes etc) it doesn't seem to be something serious that need further evaluation.
Just to be sure you can get it examined by your primary physician and he may order an X-ray of your head to evaluate the bones in your forehead.
If the X-ray is normal you don't need to worry ,the dent may need just some more time to go away.
Hope it helps.
