Brief Answer:
Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query.
You have developed post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
I treat such cases with skin lightening creams.
A combination of hydroquinone, mometasone and tretinoin will work well for you.
Various creams like melalite xl, lookbrite etc are available.
You can use any of these in night.
Remember to use sunscreen in day.
Let me know if you have any other doubts
Thank you.

Hello Doctor,
I did start using melalite xl in night and sunscreen in morning; but after 3 days now. I see my skin has become sensitive in those areas and skin is peeling.
I feel irritation (affected area has redness and its peeling) so i stopped applying the treatments.
Please advise.
Thanks, XXXXXXX N

Brief Answer:
Short contact
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the follow up.
In few instances there is an initial reaction.
Stop the cream for a week and then you can start with short contact period.
Apply cream in night let it be there for half an hour and then wash off.
This will minimise chances of reaction.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.
