![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: I am a 59 year old woman. I usually do high intensity cardio exercise their time a week for one hour. Just in the last couple of weeks I been having pounding in my chest when i am at rest. I find that I can not workout with out feeling my heart pounding hard after only about 10-15 minutes. Is it just part of aging or should I be concerned.
Brief Answer:
Holter monitoring can help to find the cause
Detailed Answer:
Dear Mrs,
If you have the complaints every day I would advise you to undergo Holter monitoring. It is an examination, during which a 24 hour ECG is recorded. Then your doctor will know what's going on with your heart when you have your complaints, whether you have any type of arrhythmia, or it is just anxiety or something like that.
Hope I could help you
Wishing you good health
