Posted on Mon, 18 May 2015
Question: My husband was roughly rubbing my clitoris in our hot tub and I noticed it was sore bleeding and hurt to urinate. It also seemed to be not sticking out so far? What can cause this and is it something that needs immediate attention from a doctor?

Brief Answer:
No need for immediate medical attention.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
This could be from abrasion during the rough sexual stimulation.
I think you can wait before seeing the doctor.
Just give it cold compresses, and avoid touching / handling the area.
Avoid sex till this settles down.
You can apply ice packs to it, but nothing else.
The swelling , if it was due to the rough sex, will settle down in a couple of days.
If the symptoms persist, yes, please seek medical attention.
Can you upload pictures of the area, so that I can have a more precise opinion ?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Take care.
