Brief Answer:
Looks like Eustachian tube dysfunction.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for the query.

I have gone through the description and feel that the ear block is due to Eustachian tube dysfunction. It is commonly seen in cold and throat infections.

I would advise you to take cold medications like cetrizine during any oral infections with cold along with that you can also follow Valsalva Maneuver. You can see how it is done on you tube.

Avoid prolonged duration of cold and throat infections as prolonged ear block can spread infection to the ears. For this early use of Antibiotics, steam inhalation and medications would be required. Hence I suggest you visit an ENT doctor.

Hope this answers your query. If any further clarifications, will be happy to help you.

Regards.

I would like to know how to prevent/get this cured permanently. Is there any course which I can use to get this cured permanently or I have to consultant the doctor to get this cured permanently.

Also like to know what might be the cause for this.

Brief Answer:
Only way is prevention or early cure of any cold and throat infections.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for the follow up.

Eustachian tube is a tube connecting our oral cavity to the middle ear. It help in ventilation of the ear. The tube opens up when we swallow. Due to any infection in the throat like tonsillits, it closes the opening and we feel the ear blocked.

The best way to treat it would be to prevent it by treating the cause like throat infection or cold at the earliest with medications and also following Valsalva Maneuver. This maneuver helps in opening the tube. You can see how to do this Maneuver on you tube.

When you have ear blocks, you can follow these measures to relieve symptoms.
In case you are suffering for prolonged duration, you can see an ENT specialist for evaluation.

Hope this answers your query.

Regards.
