Question: Last Wednesday I severely bruised the back of my right arm. Is a blood clot possible? Should I put ice or heat on it?

Brief Answer:
Needs investigations and blood test to find cause.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The bruise at the back of the arm is suggestive of a hematoma formation due to bleeding inside. It can happen due to an injury in the area or a spontaneous bruise due to a bleeding disorder. The cause can be detected after a blood test.
It is best to give rest to your arm, avoid overhead activities and do a cold compress in the area for relief. A blood clot formation is less likely.
I hope this answers your query.

I did injure it so I know that's where the bruise came from. I am off this weekend so it is rested but I will try a cold compress to bring some relief. Thanks for your advice.
