Brief Answer:
inflammatory condition
Detailed Answer:
cannot say in your particular case without actually being there BUT...
with any bronchitis there is irritation. Most to nearly all people wiht it benefit from having asthma medicines that lower lung inflammation These include steroids, and inhaled ashtma medicines and monteleukast. Bronchitis typically takes a month to be mover the inflammation without medcine and this runs faster and more completly if medications are given.
Can be scarring or a complication from pneumonia but these are rare complications and having underlying lung inflammation or having it start after an illness and last are much more common situations.
