Suggest Remedy For Clots Discharge In Urine
Question: I am a hypochondriac and at 52 i often have tiny little clots if discharge when i urinate. They are either white or blood colored. I had a d&c a month ago
Brief Answer:
UTI?
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Small blood clots when passing urine can either be present in the urine or it can due to the contamination of urine with vaginal blood. This can be easily identified with a urine test. A urine test showing red blood cells will detect such blood clots. If no red cells are seen in the urine test, then its likely that when passing urine, its mixed with menstrual blood.
If the urine contains red cell, at your age, first infection needs to be ruled out. Then renal stones or any renal growths need to be ruled out.
My suggestion would be to do a urine routine and culture first and go ahead from there.

I am also on coumadin so wouldnt i have more blood if it was from urine? Sometimes the discharge is little clear or white clumps
Brief Answer:
Possibly infection
Detailed Answer:
well it's important that you find out if the red or white clumps are in the urine or not. infection is a possibility. as for the Coumadin, if there is active bleeding then there would have been more blood in the urine. if you are having only white discharge from the vagina then that can either be infection or cyclical discharge. you should get a Pap smear stain and endometrial biopsy which you have already had.

I worry about bladder cancer. I thought, however, that it would produce more blood being on coumadin.
Brief Answer:
Renal growth
Detailed Answer:
as j mentioned earlier, renal growth is a possibility. but before that infection and stones need to be ruled out. do an ultrasound kub and a cystoscopy to rule out growth . XXXXXXX bleeding happens is aggressive cases only even with Coumadin.

Would this be ongoing or sporadic and what would other symptoms be?
Brief Answer:
Renal growth
Detailed Answer:
any renal growth may cause pain and hematuria. the progress of the disease will depend on what type if growth it is and how aggressive it is. various types of tumours are there. first it has to be diagnosed. however infection and stones can mimic these symptoms.

Well this has been going in for quite a while. I blamed it on vaginal menopause problems. No pain as of now and no bliod in urine except for this discharge. Its weird because its a tiny little lump that sinks to bottom.
Brief Answer:
Urine routine
Detailed Answer:
in that case do some tests first. urine routine and culture first. see if it shows any red cells. white cells, or protein, pus cells. culture will show infection. if all is clear then see a urologist and do s cystoscopy.

Sorry to ask so many questions but it could honestly be stones or growth with no pain at all? I have teeny tiny lump of discharge sometimes not all the time. This alone could be growth?
Brief Answer:
Not only white discharge
Detailed Answer:
you mentioned that you have blood clots in the urine too. only white clumps may not be due to growth but blood in urine may be. white clumps in the urine could be pus cells due to infection or protein . hence I suggested you do a urine test first.

Im not making myself clear. Its a little clump of discharge smaller than a pea. I have already inspected it and it is stringy. Sometimes it is white, sometimes yellow, and sometimes pink. But it happens on and off. Much more often i have normal urine
Brief Answer:
Still could be infection
Detailed Answer:
urine should be clear always. if there is any colour change whether it's yellow, red, pink etc it needs to be detected why. since the commonest cause is infection it's easily ruled out. other possibility is high content of protein in the urine. drink at least 3lit if water daily. any flakes will be washed out. you can also take cranberry juice as it helps clear the urinary tract. cranberry tablets are also available. my advice would be to go a routine urine test. drink water and cranberry juice . reduce salt in your diet.
