Till yesterday he is going for stools 6-8 times a day.
He is on breastfeeding.
Doctor surge Colicaid drops 3 times daily .Is it OK.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for your query.
Babies of such age can cry for many reasons. Most probable cause is some discomfort like too many clothes, temperature variations in weather, not being burped after feeds, less feeding and staying hungry. Breastfeeding demands lots of effort on part of mother. If mother is busy with other work then she may not find time to breast feed. Abdominal massage should help. Check his weight regularly to see if he is getting enough nutrition.
The baby has to be properly burped after feeds. From the above said medicines, colicaid would be my third choice. Woodward and bonnisan are ayurvedic preparations and I would rate them equal. You can use any of them but in moderation and only when really needed.
Hope it helps.

Thanks for reply.
No need to worry from our side ?
Weight at birth was 3.48 kgs
Present weight is 4.41 kgs
Some doctors are not prescribing Woodwards citing reasons of side effects . Shall we use bonnisan or other best medicine you suggest.

His weight is appropriate for his age
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
Baby's weight is appropriate for his age (hopefully he was weighed without any clothes on). Regarding medicine, it gives only temporary relief, all medicines have side effects. Among the three listed, none of them causes any serious side effect, so any of them can be tried.
If the precautions like burping after every feed, wearing appropriate clothes for weather, baby not wet, diapers being removed regularly, loose clothes, enough time with mother, etc are working then no need to worry. If these precautions do not work and the baby is in discomfort, then clinical evaluation is needed.
