Suggest Remedy For Cystic Acne And Pimples

Question: Hello, I am 20 years old and I have a lot of cystic acne and pimples that don't want to go away.
I've been using the benzoyl peroxide and I've been takin care of my face regularly (waching it twice a day with oil free face wash) but I'm not seeing any positive results.
What shoul I do?

I can understand your concern.
The best drug for cystic acne is capsule isotretinoin but it is a prescription medicine and has to be taken under strict supervision of a dermatologist with monitoring of certain blood tests. Apart from this I suggest my patients to take a course of tablet azithromycin and apply adapelene gel at night on the pimples.
Besides this you can continue using benzoyl peroxide gel in the morning.
Also keep your face dry, avoid using oily creams and moisturisers, use only those cosmetics which are labelled as noncomedogenic, avoid oiling of scalp, don't pick your pimples and reduce the intake of sugary foods .
