Hi

I understand your concern regarding your skin problem and I hope I am able to help you in the same.
You have been using a topical steroid over your face for long ,and now you seem to be experiencing signs of steroid withdrawal.
Darkening of skin color along with itching ,redness and irritation over skin can occur .
I would like to have a look at the exact skin condition.
Please click some close up pictures of the affected area and upload them here on this page .
Also please tell if there is any associated pain or itching or discomfort.
I am sure I will be able to help you better once you provide me the pictures so that I can assess the skin .

I have no pain or discomfort. I feel slight itching after I wash my face. I have started having more acne breakouts since I stopped using melacare.

I have attached two pics. One showing the uneven discoloratio. Of skin and the other the acne breakout.

Take treatment for acne as well

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

I have seen the attached pictures.
You surely have an irregular pigmentation over the face along with acne lesions .
First of all ,stop using melacare cream completely.
You need treatment with oral anti acne agents along with topical therapy.
Take tablet azithromycin 500 mg once a day in the morning for four days .
Start application of clindamycin cream over the acne lesions in the morning and apply kojic acid cream over the pigmented areas at night .
Use a medicated sunscreen with spf more than 26 regularly before going out in the sun .Apply it atleast thirty minutes before going out and re apply every three hourly.
Do not apply any other cream or oil over the affected area.
You can use a mild moisturiser if required.
See a local dermatologist and discuss the option of chemical peels or dermabrasion for rapid relief .

Hope it helps
