Brief Answer:
Details are given below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

According to your information, you did SAFE sex after period over and took I-pill for additional safety. Your chance of pregnancy is extremely RARE.

Delayed period is the MOST COMMON side effect of I-pill. Hormonal imbalance and mental stress are other associated reasons.

On NEGATIVE test, Norethisterone pill (NORLUT-N) is usually given to induce period. Most women get their period within 5 to 7 days after stopping them. I suggest you to await another few days to get period naturally.

If you don't get your period after 1 week waiting, I suggest you to consult with your gynecologist for necessary investigations like pelvic ultrasound scan and hormone tests. It helps to give proper treatment.

In the mean time, you can start following natural way to induce period like :

1) Eating papaya, pineapple or other heat inducing foods like meat, hot milk.

2) Drink fennel seed soaked boiled water several times in a day.

3) Use hot water bottle around abdomen/ back region or take hot shower bath.

4) Celery juice, Ginger tea and vitamin -C supplements are also useful.

5) Avoid Salty/ Fatty foods and mental stress. Maintain genital hygiene.

Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.

Wish your good health and practice safe sex in future.

Regards,
Dr S Patra

Brief Answer:
Wait 1 week and follow previous home remedies.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for follow up query.

Period may be delayed due to hormonal imbalance (by I-Pill) and mental stress. Some other reasons like Poly Cystic Ovary, high prolactin level, thyroid disturbance, over weight, pelvic infection should be ruled out in this context.

I suggest you to consult with your gynecologist after ONE week waiting. In the mean time, you should follow previous home remedies to induce period naturally.

Hope, I have answered your queries. Kindly, close the discussion.

All the best and good luck.

Regards,
Dr S Patra
